Good luck finding him this morning.
Please don't take this the wrong way. A quartering to shot sometimes works and many times doesn't. To easy to get hung up in the shoulder and not get penetration or a little to far back and get 1 lung or guts. The 1 lung/gut shot deer can go a long way and a long time after the shot. Especially if you tried too soon to track after the shot.
In awaiting the LDP of that bad boy!!

Good luck this morning, I hope you find him. A few years ago I shot a buck on a lease near Junction. I looked for him for HOURS. Combed the area on foot and 4 wheeler. Blood stopped at 80-100yds out. The next morning I looked again and he was maybe 100-150yds away right in the middle of a patch of brush. ( he had turned after I lost blood ) At night I had walked right by him several times, but I couldnt see him because of the thick brush and the shadows a flashlight creates.

Here are restricted counties:
Angelina, Hardin, Jasper, Nacogdoches, Newton, Orange, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby and Tyler counties.
