    Finally got a lease camper

My in-laws have been awesome and gracious enough to allow us to use their 5th wheel the last couple of years, but I don't like using other folks stuff. The lease we got onto this year has an actual camp, with electric, water, and tanks/field lines. So we've been looking for a park model (ie FEMA) trailer for a couple of months. Most places want way too much IMO

Anyways, my wife visited her grandmother while I worked at the lease this weekend, and as she left she passed by her great-uncles park & sell lot. There sat a park model trailer...she called and asked about it, turns out a friend of his purchased it to put on his property for his kids/grandkids to stay in when they visited. But no one used it. It was stayed in 6-8 times, and other than that it is brand new. His friend agreed to a deal we couldn't pass up...half cash, half paid out over the next 6 months. So now I won't be "bumming" my in-laws trailer, and we can leave our stuff in it and leave it at the lease year round

So after this coming weekend, we'll be set for the season and will have a place to stay when we want to get away for a weekend, instead of having to throw $$ out the window by renting a cabin on the lake. Livingston will be seeing a lot more of us...now to find a boat to use on the lake my wife will be really happy about that development

Good deal for you. Be sure to check all over for leaks (past and current) and get them patched asap if there are any. Also, they are notorious for having leaky propane lines. Be sure you check that out as well. The one I had towed ok but I never took it over any rough ground. Make sure you are able to clear all potential rocks etc on your lease. They are pretty long. Enjoy having your very own camper!

Congrats to ya. As stated above take it to your local RV repair place and have them do a full check out. My local RV repair place charges a couple hundred dollars to to a full check out the electrical, propane, water, roof, etc. It's well worth it.

I'll do that. Thanks for the heads up guys a buddy of mine does RV inspections/repairs for a company somewhere out in the Polk Co/Walker Co area. His wife has a shop in Livingston, so I'll see if he can do an inspection for me once I get it out there.

Our camp isn't far off of the main highway, and the road in is fairly decent shaped paved road. So getting it into camp isn't an issue. But if the propane lines are a known problem with these, I'll replace them. I'd rather know it's not an issue than worry about it
