Hey guys the pigs on my place are completely out of control, i want to build a pen style trap but i have absolutely zero knowledge of what to do and be successful, can yall show me what you have built (pics) and things you shoulda woulda coulda done differetly?

W built a round trap that was 30' across. Kinda like the one in the video except we used a pulley system and once the door was closed they could still push in but not out.Comment

I built a 6-panel pen trap with this gate. Feeder centered inside. Prop the gate open with an upside-down U-shaped hold-open with rope going to the tripwire in the backside of the pen, behind the feeder. Pour corn under the tripwire and when the hogs get to rooting at the corn they pull the prop out from under the gate and you got 'em. I lock the doors open until I get pics of bunches of hogs visiting regularly, then set the trap with lots of corn scattered inside. Don't want the first to enter to go straight to the back and trip it. Give 'em time to all get inside. The piece of 4" mesh across the gate is my calf excluder--keeps them out but the pigs squeeze under it.
