Need a scope for a 270. Looking at the Vortex Diamond Back or Viper. What style/model should I focus on. This rifle will be used for deer hunting. Thanks

Either will be fine. I am of the opinion that you don't need anything larger than 9 power for hunting, and even that is not used often. My 3-9 is rarely set on anything higher than 6.Originally posted by BrandonA View PostComment

I have the "Diamond Back" and like it very well. It is clear, adjusts correctly and holds the zero from 3 through 9 without any problems. For the money, I don't think you can go wrong. I have not used the "Viper", so I can't comment on it. Their guarantee looks great, although I have not had to use it. Good luck.Comment
