    Go pro questions

Thinking about finally getting on the gopro bandwagon. I'll use it for hunting and kids baseball, or whatever comes to mind since I have it.

Now that the 4 is out, I'm trying to decide which one will serve my needs. I want the wifi remote capabilities with the app, so it seems that narrows it to the 3, 3+ or 4. Beyond that, I really don't know what features I should be concerned about for my intended, regular Joe, use. I like the wide view of the 4 series, seems like that would be a good feature for ball and in the woods. But is it $100 worth of extra view? It's another $100 from the 4 silver to the 4 black. Best I can tell the only difference in those two is the level of HD and FPS. I assume FPS in camera lingo refers to the quality of slow mo, frames per second?

As of right now, I think I'm leaning towards the 4 silver. What say the brain trust?

I have the three plus, love it. I will say that as far as while hunting there is no zoom feature so up close shots if mounted near you, you prob wont see. That being said I used the wifi feature and was able to record my son killing a turkey while it was in front of us and the camera was mouned near where the turkey was.

I have a 4 silver but use my 4 black the most. Just because of the 1440 req res and higher megapixel pictures. I like the 4k BUT the fps is sad. THe new Go pro4 has a higher 4k fps but im not sure I want to drop another 500 for it.

The lack of zoom has kept me on the fence in the past. But being able to control remotely with my phone has swayed me.
That's what I'm trying to decide before I buy, 4S or 4B? Now it's only $100 for the better fps, but if I buy the S and regret it I'll be in the same boat.

Is my assumption that fps mainly affects slow motion quality correct?

Yes. 30 frames per second, 60 frames per second, 120 frames per second. Higher frames per second equals better slow motion.

            Ah, I see! Thanks EastTx!
I was thinking it was the clarity of the slow mo, but it's actually the rate of slow mo. Ya, pretty obvious now!
I'm also realizing a gopro is like building an AR, the accessories add up faster than the actual equipment!
