Got on stand about 30 minutes ago. Great wind to hunt my favorite stand! Hoping these deer start moving being the rain finally let up.
Should be a good weekend. I've got the entire place to myself, the kids are off at friends houses, and the wife is on a girls trip in New Orleans! Haven't heard this kind of silence and peace in a LONNNGGGG TIME!

Lots of activity this morning once the rain stopped. Has 4 eating hand corn until sunrise and then moved on. Doe and a yearling came running in, stopping for a quick bite. Shot at the doe, missed high. She ran 20 yards and came right back, knocked another arrow and put it in the pump station. She ran about 40 yards and piled up. The old slick trick does a mighty fine job, I tell you!

I'm about 2 miles from 377 off 674. When you turn on 674, we the first place on the left, down to the first high fence. You in town this weekend?
