East Texas live hunt check - in 10/11

Anybody else going to hunt the front end of this storm system today? Im headed to the lease right now.

The full moon has me thinking I should have stayed in bed, but the fog and impending front give me a little hope.

    I'll be sitting in Colmesniel.

    Check-in, and good luck!

Good luck. It's pouring down rain here, so I'm sleeping in. Hopefully an afternoon hunt will be possible.

About to hit the homemade tarp blind for the first time. Should get a couple hours before it gets too bad.

Don't think today is going to be a good day. Moon is so bright, didnt need a flashlight, covered in sweat and dew from climbing the tree and the only thing on the ground under the feeder was the feeder battery. And as dirty as it was, I think it's been there for a while.

Oh well, never hurts to sit anyways. I'm going to move my set for the evening hunt.

It's brutal in the river bottom this am. Might be the first time I've ever turned my thermocell on before I waked in. I'm hunting today just for the chance to say I killed one on a full moon, in the rain with no wind and 80 degree weather. I can't imagine anything moving this morning but at least we're trying. Good luck!

I'm gonna sit and see if anything moves before the rain. Yesterday's hunt was a bust. First sit this year that I didn't see a deer even at a distance. I will be checking the radar and try to make a mad dash back to camp.

Made it to the blind just before the monsoon hit. Hogs were moving until the rain hit hard. Now to hope a break in these showers will bring out a hungry old buck. My hopes are NOT high.

That moment, just before daylight, when you can't decide if it's a bush or a deer at your corn. Is it moving? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

                      Best time of the hunt.

Had the same problem 10 minutes ago. It's a tree. Lol

Yep. Sadly, I had the same result.

Getting close. Question is, when it's closer, should I stay or should I go? I'm completely exposed in a climbing stand.

How bad is it going to be?
