Has anyone hog hunted with one? I know at limited range it would drop one. What are your results?

Only one I've ever seen was my uncle's, worked fine on the deer he shot on our place up in Missouri in high school...haven't seen one used on hogs, but I have to believe any rifle throwing a .30 cal bullet will kill a hog. -
I've shot several hogs with my M1 carbine. I limit my shots to 50 yards or less though and head shots only using 110 gr. softpoints.Comment
