    Question for Tree stand hunters?

I'm very curious. When y'all are in y'all's tree stands and just out of blue you happened to drop something from the tree stand.

What do y'all do? Go down and get it or y'all just leave it there until after the hunt? Unless it was something important.

Been lucky so far to not drop anything but probably would try to sneak down.

Leave it most times unless it's a item I severely need like a release or an item that may put extra scent in the air like a rangefinder

As above...unless a critical item, I leave it lay. Dropped my water bottle first thing getting in the stand this morning. Since I had another, left it lay.

The reason I asked. Is because I dropped my range finder after I just got settled in 5 minutes in my stand.

I drop arrows all the time and have dropped my back pack, a range finder, everything I take to the stand has fallen at least one time. I always just leave it typically.

If it's my bow, quiver or flask I go get it. Anything else can wait.

Leave it if you can, that's what I do.

                        Leave it unless it's important.

Leave it...unless its my last arrow or my bow.

leave it unless I absolutely need it.

Last weekend, I climbed the 22 ft up, pulled my bow up, got it hung, moved my harness strap from my lifeline to my tree strap, got my backpack off, was about to sit down, and my flashlight popped out of my vest pocket. Hit the ground square on the on/off button I guess and it was lighting up the whole woods. In that instance, I just had to climb back down and get it.

I keep hitting my forehead on the bow hanger, as I step over from the ladders to the seat. It was screwed in last yr and I keep forgetting to take a rench up with me to move it. Dropping something is second to hitting my head
