I work in completion fluids I run a mixing plant but there are several jobs on the completion side like coil tubing, frac, wireline, and even after completion there is production which is probably your best bet if you're looking for a career in the oilfield cause even when the boom goes bust there will still be wells producing

Tower climbing pays good. Been doing it for over ten years now. Entry level climber can make up to $20 an hour at some companies but $16 is about the norm

Here's the few major areas I know of:
                          Discovery
                          Drilling
                          Completion
                          Production
                          Work over/ Service.

Under each of those there are lots of jobs

Get a Class A CDL permit. It's equivalent to a college degree out here! West texas is hungry for folks! Seems all you need is a heartbeat and a hardhat! Mota of green hats running around out here on my frac location!
