First off I am by no means being mean or negative. I am not married, so I am just striving to understand this because I have never been in this situation. So please do not take it that way.

But why would you ask God to place a new woman in your life if your getting over your wonderful wife who passed away? Again I don't know the feeling but I wouldn't think finding a new woman would be any kind of priority to me after losing my wife of so long.

Probably not my place to answer this, But have you ever lost someone that close to you?? They say time heals all wounds, but when you put your life out there for someone for so long, basically living for that person, and they are taken away, it leaves a void in your heart, and sometimes it is only another person that can fill that void. I am going to go out on a limb and guess that you do not know Ed, He is a good man and deserves the happiness he wants. I am sure Miss Sandy wants nothing more than for Ed to have that happiness. I hope you never have to live with what Ed has

This is good to read. I wish you the best Lip. My mom died a couple years ago and my dad took it hard. Finally pulled out of it and the next thing you know he's getting married to a wonderful woman who had lost her husband. They got married at the age of 82. God has blessed them both and I pray he blesses the both of you as well.

Ed I want to thank you for posting this update at this time. I lost my wife 3 months ago and am having a hard time looking ahead with any hope at all. Your post is giving me a glimmer of hope.
