Nobody has ever ripped out a composite deck and went back to wood.

We used the composite decking on a steel framed pier. Figured since it is exposed to the weather and extends out over water, it would be the better choice for this application. Have only had it for two or three years, but not the slightest sign of any issue and still looks like the day it was installed.

We've had Trex at the ranch for about 10 years, no problems

              actually, yes.....

I had a little Asian woman in South Dakota who apparently took her shoes off all the time at the front door and walked around barefoot inside. She didn't like the heat on her feet when she walked out back on the deck.

And I had also paid her 12K for the deck since it was beat up by hail.
              Which is another downside....

She had it pulled and replaced with wood.
I sure wanted to grab that pile of discarded Trex decking.....
