    Change?

What's y'all's words of wisdom on change? I'm looking at possible big change for me in my life. I can't say what it is but lets just say my lifestyle would change if I took up this change and succeeded at it. My problem is I am scared to leave what I know and I am accustomed too.

I don't have any great words of wisdom for ya other than this...sometimes in life big changes come up out of nowhere, and they are scary and crazy and seem like if we take that leap it will change everything. And too often that's true. And I could throw up all kinds of quotes...Carpe Diem...Doors closing and opening...can't get a Booner sitting on the couch...

All I can say is that I've been there and I can imagine how you feel. It's a big decision and a big change to step out of our comfort zone into the unknown. Make sure you've been honest with yourself about the pros and cons, absolutely brutally honest. Discuss it with your family or loved ones, and make sure you've got as much info as you possibly could, and cover every scenario or twist you can think about. And I'll say a few prayers for ya that the decision will come to you. Usually in times like this, the answer comes to us, we just have to listen well enough to hear it.

Change for the sake of change is risky business, but change that you feel compelled to do is very rewarding.

Also, if everyone feared the unknown, and change, a lot of cool stuff never would have been discovered. So I say if this change is something you feel strongly about, and think it will make you a better more complete person, then do it without looking back.

You get one lap. Are you going to spend it in cruising in the slow lane, or are you going to drop the hammer and make that one lap count?

You've been offered a job in Montana

Go for it brother , especially if you have no rug-rats or things tying you down

If you don't do it you'll always regret not taking a risk

If its the same time a "Change" that our President ran on it hasnt helped me any and could have done without it. Sometimes change helps sometimes it hurts.

All change should bring a little apprehension
But with out it we may never know our true potential
Embrace it, respect it, and at the very least try it

I was offered a jog guiding goose hunts up north years ago. I've wondered and regretted not chancing it on and off over the years. Follow your dream brother. Im sure you could come back to where you're at now if it doesn't pan out.

How many years until you are elgible for retirement? That would be the biggest factor that I can think of. If you are a few years out then no way I would leave it.

Lol, well lets just say my job would require me to accompany people on hunting and fishing trips, dinners, banquets, etc. Entertaining and keeping people happy would be my main job.

You don't lose the time you've put in when you switch jobs right? So you'll always be able to return to your previous field? I say go for it. Sounds like a dream come true.
