Everytime I start not having success I consider myself in a dry spell. Well this has been my longest dry spell. Haven't had any solid success since February when we made the Triple Song Dog video. Called in some yotes and let some get away, also had some wounded ones that weren't recovered, did manage to kill a cat not long ago but yotes is what I really consider as far as my dry spells are concerned. When we finally did call one up this past weekend we actually scared him. We were trying to move around in a really cramped blind and with all the excitement from finally calling one up, I guess we weren't as stealthy as we should have been. Any way, the yote comes back out down another sendero and looked to just be meandering along, so I hit him with my howl (laugh if you want) and got him to stop before sending a 60 gr V max behind his shoulder. Didn't make the recovery that night because it got too dark on us too quick but the following morning we found him piled up about 20 yards from point of impact. Hope you guys enjoy the video!
