Could this be from a snake bite?

My buck from this morning had some scaring/scab on his right shoulder. And has what looks like to fang marks. If it from a snake bite is it safe to eat that part of the deer?

Didn't think about that. Maybe a tire got him and it got infected and took awhile to heal

Edit: Stupid autocorrect on phone. Suppose to say yote not tire

I would not eat if I did not feel 100 percent ... I would just lose that part of the meat if everything else went right.

We used to have a ranch in south Texas. From my experience with snake bites, the area around the bite was always real hard/tough. Also, I think it's highly unlikely a snake would bite a deer on the shoulder

Deer will stomp a snake to death.
