    Persimmon trees question

I know they get good and ripe after a frost and the deer will still eat some of them at least what they can reach anyways. It got down to 38 here last night will some of them start to get real ripe and start to drop or dose it need to be colder than that.

If they are orange for the most part then they are good to eat or could they still be a little better if I waited. Thought about knocking couple down before i got in my blind

They will get soft when they are ripe.

I have always heard it needed to freeze a couple times but that was for the ones in illinois.
