As long as you use a fixed blade broadhead you will be fine.

If you used a fixed blade you're good!

I'm in the same boat. Brother says as long as you are using low profile fletch the broadhead cuts large enough hole. It worked for him and his wife so we will see.

I've shot through the mesh with no problem. I'd practice in your backyard though because it's different looking through your sight AND the mesh...just something to get a few shots in that setting so you aren't thrown off the first time you shoot out of it on a deer.

Use the mesh from the a different window than your main shooting hole or get some replacement panels so you don't destroy the main one during practice.

I shoot spitfire xp's ( mechanical) and never have had any problems. I only shoot through a window with no holes in it. Make sure the mesh is tight and your good.

I shoot fixed blades thru my wife's blind no trouble but my furthest shot is 25 yards everything else is less than 20

Fixed blades and TIGHT mesh is the key. Done it for years. I just can stand looking through it so I quit using it.

just for the confidence, i like to take one of the screen mesh out and put it on a wooden frame, or stretch it out with bungee cords, and shoot target thru it, just like i am sitting in the blind.

It's also important that your bow be tuned properly - if your arrow is exiting the bow all wonky, the mesh will effect the flight. If you're not sure about your bow, come to full draw and rotate so that the riser is right behind the mesh when you release. The closer your broadhead is to the mesh when you release, the less a crooked arrow will be effected.

ALSO - make 100% sure your fletchings are completely glued down- especially the leading edge of the fletchings. If that front edge is flopping AT ALL, it'll catch on the mesh. Absolute fix for this problem is a drop of super glue at the leading edge of each fletchings, where it contacts the shaft.

I love shooting through mesh and I use it a lot. These are just some tricks I've found for overcoming the few issues that CAN arise. Use them along with the other suggestions posted and you'll love it too!

I shoot thru mesh and use a string tracker too! It works awesome if your bow is well tuned!

Shot this doe opening morning thru the mesh with my Sarrels Blueridge longbow. I was using a String Tracker too!
