Hard to tell anything from the picture. Did you get the head? There's likely to be some irritation and redness (inflammation) from ANY tick bite. It would definitely not hurt to go to the doctor as a precaution. However, if you choose to wait, if it gets ANY bigger, go immediately. Since today is Friday, if it were me, I'd probably go ahead and go to the doctor since an ER or urgent care trip over the weekend will likely be more $ and a longer wait...

I have had tons this year, had a scary bout with my dog, when she got tick paralysis, almost killed her.
Looks like you didn't pull the head out when you pulled the tick, it's going to take about a week for your body to push it out on it's on.
And I would listen to Texastornado's advice, when it doubt, check it out. (at the doctor)

I hunt in Sonora towards Juno. About 6 years ago, my buddy and I were clearing off some cedars before season and got home about 2 days later and discovered a small tick on my back. Didn't think too much of it since Ive had several growing up. About 3 days after that I started feeling like I had the flu with muscle aches, severe headaches, and my wife looked at my back and the place where the tick was had swollen and turned dark red. I went to my regular dr and they sent me to the CDC in Conroe. Head DR there said I just barely caught Lymes Disease before it got real bad and turned worse. I stayed on antibiotics for 30 days. After that I make sure I always douse in tick and chigger spray no matter what.

I buy it in a condensed form from TSC. And dilute it to my needs. I use it on my pop-ups also to keep the black widows out when mixed right.Last edited by Texas Grown; 10-04-2014, 08:22 PM.
