    AC help needed

Please excuse my lack of technical terms but you should get the point. The outside unit is not kicking on. I can manually push the contacts together and it will run but it will not stay on on its own. So either the switch Jobby is broke or the flux capacitor looking thingy is down.
    The stuff.

Is your evap pan full? Does the indoor fan work? The thermostat sends the signal to engage the contactor. There is usually a pan switch that locks out the contactor if the drain overflows.

Inside unit is running. Would the pan be in the attic? The return is drawing air.

Yes. Should be in a pan full of water. Clear drain to allow water to drain and it should kick on if that is problem.

Some units have external safeties on the condensing unit. I cannot see if your has any.

It looks like the drain line runs down into the slab the outside.

The evaporator pan switch will be in the inside attic or closet. If it is not the pan switch next step is to check thermostat and any safeties on the outside unit. Good luck. Ill be up for a bit

forgive me, but make sure the tstat is on cool and not fan on.
check and make sure a dog hasnt chewed wires up outside, if you have a dog.
next, you need a meter and read the schematic and see if you have 24 vac going to your outside unit, look for a bad connection, are pressure switch.
                      good luck.

Could this be the culprit? It doesn't look like it's draining. Click image for larger version

When I pulled that sensor out the outside unit kicked on. Looks like the drain line is plugged.

There ya go. Get a shop vac and clean it out. It is there to prevent an overflow and damage to your floors.

How do I clear the 10 ft of drain line to the outside?
