    Suggest some boots

What do y'all suggest I look at?

    Prefer pull on
    Waterproof mandatory
Snake protection would be a plus but wouldn't be a deal killer if they didn't have it.
A little insulation would be nice, I wouldn't wear them much when it was hot.

    Under $150 preferably

Muck, LaCrosse, Irish Setter, Under Armour?

I bought some Chippewa's at Cabelas for $139 this past weekend. They are waterproof and snake boots. They were clearing them out since Justin boots bought them.

I've had real good success with the La Crosse Alpha Burly's (neoprene uppers). For me, they are comfortable if you have to walk. I used them on several mountain hunts for elk successfully. I prefer the uninsulated version as I have always been warm natured and my feet tend to sweat. When it's not cold, I roll the tops down for added comfort.

        Kind of contradicting.

I have 3 pairs of hunting boots... Chippewa's for when it's hot, LaCrosse Alpha Burley's for 90% of everything after mid October, and UA's (the model is slipping my mind but they're SUPER insulated) for when it's really cold.

I'm really intrigued by the newer UA insulated boots. They're 2lbs lighter than any of the others on the market. Haven't had a chance to put them on, but I suspect I'll be buying a pair if they're anything like my others. Under Armor makes fantastic boots.

Good point. I guess what I meant by hot was I'm not planning on wearing them during dove season or anything like that. Although early bow season can still be hot. I can probably wear my current boots when it is hot though, they aren't completely wore out.

I've never used insulated boots. I've always just tried to keep warm with sock layers and it isn't working anymore.

If you're looking to keep your feet warm look at the UA line. They're kind of like walking on clouds too!

Muck boats but I'm not sure they make any that are snake proof. Mucks last forever but they can make your feet really sweaty.

I just bought a pair of danner ridge master but they are about 280 (had 90$ in gift cards) supposedly a great boot. I wear mine 5.or so years so I figured id get my money. Having bought cheap boots my whole life I realized footwear is really important and bad footwear can take a toll on your body. I used to wear cowboy boots out on the ranch, why I dont know, they just arent practical
