    Feed store food plots.

What are you guys running on food plots? Looking for seed that I can pick up at the feed store, not pre-made bag stuff. Thanks

Wheat, oats, austrian winter peas, purple top turnips, and clover in my area. Goto turner seed company's website, it is a great source for how much to plant per acre, seeds/lb, and cool or warm season plants.

I'm trying out pennington Feeding Frenzy this year. It's pre-mixed bag stuff, but I thought the price per acre was reasonable.

Most feed stores should have some type of cereal grain (wheat, oats, rye...not rye grass), clover, or brassica (turnips/radishes). Plant all three in a combo and you will be set. Good luck!

well if the price is good than its worth a try...just alot of them are quite a pretty penny for not many acres

Pennington Rackmaster is what I planted. 150 lb mix and it was 4" in 2 weeks. My peas in the mix are 8"! Came in great! I couldn't have mixed seeds myself any better or at a better price.

I hear ya. I had to switch from my favorite East Texas Seed Premium Fall Blend. It went over $100 per acre. This stuff is around $65, but if it does not do well I will switch back next year. Also planted some of Penningtons Rackmaster Elite perennial blend. Will keep everybody posted.

The two blends I bought last weekend were $27.99/50 (100/acre) and $34.99/50 (50/acre)
