    Eucalyptus trees are fast growing (5-6ft per year), big, shady trees that do well in most part of the state. They put off a nice smell and don't drop their leaves. They do peel their bark as they grow, and that is the bark found in your wife's potpourri jars. Good tree for what you're looking for.


    6' is way too close for any tree.

      Also if they are looking for shade and decide on the Chinese pistache, look for the one without berries. It makes a better, longer lasting shade
