Rattle snake got my parents dog

Sorry to hear! Thats terrible... my dog was recently bit by a copperhead but hes a medium sized guy so not as small as yours, he was fine 3 days later. Im assuming a rattlesnake bite is deadlier to a dog than a copperhead?

When my dad tried to untangle the fight is when the snake got tossed on him.
The dog then grabbed the snake and ran off into the night with him. The vet said
He was bit 3 times and his kidneys failed. My mom had a statement that surprised us. She told my dad to go get the snake and put it on an ant pile. Which is really out of
Character for her. That dog meant the world to them. He was never mean to a person, but
He sure gave the varmints a hard time that got in the yard. Sorry if this text is messed up.
