    TBH reflection... long read...

As I sit here at my Fathers bedside during his final hours/days I find myself looking at the GS and felt compelled to share a few thoughts....

I was introduced to TBH by Ol Man (Doug McCoy), then Woody (Kevin Duncan, God rest his sole) and I then met one, then another and another,.......... TBH'r some on the screen and many FTF.

I have learned a lot about hunting and even more about living and life, shot bows, BS, hunted, bought and sold stuff, eaten a lot of groceries, been on a couple and currently on a couple of leases with TBH'rs.

Several TBH'rs have became my closest of friends with a couple that I would now truly consider part of my immediate family. I have tried to keep track of all I have met FTF and (not including all those I met at Bownaza) and the last FTF put the number at at 300+.

All 300+ FTF's were like catching up with old friends. How many Non-TBH'rs can say they have that many Friends??? Not many I bet!

What an incredible site with incredible people!!!!!!!

Sorry for the long read but more so THANKS for allowing me to be part of it.

God bless your heart and your Fathers. Embrace this time, remember the good times and draw strength from those memories. It will happen to all of us, eventually. You are truly lucky to have this time. I remember doing the same thing with my Dad 8 years ago.

I have been in your shoes Bill. And in times like these you can use all the support you can get.

Surrounding yourself with a great group of folks like the ones found on TBH will help you get through this most difficult time.

Remember the all the good times you had with your Dad.....

          God Bless

And every one of us are here for you right now Bill! Miles may separate us but the power of the Green Screen brings us together. Prayers for you and your family during this difficult time.

I have recently quit many on line social networking sites as a means of limiting the amount of crud, BS and stress in my life but TBH is here to stay for me. I have made a few friends because of this place and my hunting opportunities have greatly expanded because of my involvement here. Just like anything else in life, you get out of it what you put into it.
Good place and good people. Even if I don't always agree with what they have to say.

I have met people on here, and only been around a few times and usually only get to talk to them through txt or call, but they have became good friends of mine.

Good thoughts Bill... May God give you comfort as you celebrate your father's life here and prepare to send him to be with your mom with the Lord forever. Forever Bill is a loooong time! Our turn will come too some day. Until then, live life that will honor your dad and your God and you will do well sir! I personally am glad to call you friend!

Bill, It was an honor to meet you that night... Wish we had more time.

If there is anything you have ever wanted to tell your dad, do it now.
I lost mine in '99, and wish I had told him some stuff. He was always gone, working around the world in the oilfields.
