About 4 miles from my house. We had a baby there this year and my spent a few nights there with viral meningitis a couple months ago. We saw a few infectious disease doctors....I bet they are on high alert right now.

Two things I heard reported but haven't confirmed.

      1) they wont tell us what flight he was on.
      2) they sent him home with antibiotics before he tested positive.

This virus has infected more healthcare workers in the last 6 months than HIV has in 30 years. That should tell how virulent it is. Ebola doesn't require a needle stick it to spread.

I have the feeling the media is being censored on this. We probably will never know the truthe of exactly how bad this is.

            Uhhhhhh......neither does AIDS.
The ebola spread in Africa is due to civil war (dead bodies), lack of health care, lack of public sewage systems, etc. People that are doing great things to help save lives knowingly put themselves in danger without proper medical care. Please stop comparing Ebola to AIDS.

240 healthcare workers have been infected by ebola and 120 have died. There has been less than 60 healthcare workers infected by hiv in 30 years! My point was that this virus is much more virulent. Their is no doubt that the conditions in Africa are terrible and people are suffering tremendously, but we should take every precaution to keep this contained. This means restriction all travel out of this region.

If it that easy to contain, why have the been fighting this for years. It has me worried a bit.

Because they will not stop eating infected bush meat so the cycle keeps repeating itself.

                    And then there were two!

To me it's time to be praying that this is contained.

Everywhere they've had outbreaks it has spread, of course this was in other countries! But makes me wonder about our preparedness for the virus.
