I lost my backyard corn crop to the mild storm, guess the roots weren't very deep This was my first run at backyard corn - I was going to save myself from high gas prices and feeder fill ups - ha!

We got 1.5 inches on our place near Lake Brownwood. I'm not complaining, but the heart of the storm dropped 7+ inches in Priddy....just a few miles east of us!

We had bigger rain and stronger winds a couple months ago...

I just hope that this won't desensitize everyone to the dangers that even minor tropical storms and hurricanes can cause.
