    Need some advice.

Saturday evening I shot a doe but hit her high. The arrow did not pass all the way through and I found no blood and no doe. I didn't hunt Sunday at all cause I don't want to put to much pressure on the spot and scare everything off. I feel bad enough for making a bad shot but I really wanna get back in the stand and get some meat int he freezer. How long should I wait before hunting that spot again? Also this is my only spot as I'm hunting in small acreage.

Id suggest to go right back in there. I shot 3 deer same location in 4 hours a couple years ago. Just shootem and drag em in the bushes and get back up there. Sorry you made a bad shot...we all do. Just practice more and study the deadly V. I don't go hunting till I can shoot 10 arrows in a row in a grapefruit. Hitting high or a bit back gets old.

I wouldn't wait to long. I've shot deer out of the same stand 2 days in a row. Also had a buddy hunt a stand in the morning and killed a deer, I hunted the same stand that afternoon and killed a deer also.

Thanks guys. I've been practicing and won't rush and make the same mistake again.

You should get back out there and get one. That way you and your brother in law can smoke the backstraps and drink cocktails next weekend.
