I have. I use it as a cover scent and spray it on my hand corn. I spray the inside of my pop up heavily every time I'm in it and any time I'm at my feeder. I've had 20+ deer downwind at 20 yards and never got busted. The deer would eat all the vanilla hand corn before eating the corn that the feeder through. I don't know if it attracted any extra deer but it worked good for me as a cover scent. And deer seem to like it.

Same here! Havnt been busted yet. Although i did get cornered by a boar and had a minor standoff! I smelt like a walking buffet meal to that beast. Not a cool experience in the dark. Carry a pistol, always!!!
Check out (Flywise) i believe is his member name. He has used vanilla for a while and experiments a lot. Recently used strawberry extract and had good results. Do a search and check his threads out!
from what I understood, people put them around their feeders and the animals get used to the smell and that the smell means food (corn from the feeder)
I wonder if it's as effective on Public Land where they're not used to it and the smell of it, doesn't mean food!!!
I tried it yesterday and got my first kill with a bow. Started out Sat and could not get anything to get with in 35-40 yards for a clean shot, even with hand corning early that morning at about 15 yds from my blind. Same routine and same results Sun morning, so I decided I would try a little bit of Vanilla in my hand corn for the evening (read about that on here), and a little spray around my blind. Needless to say had 3 doe walk with in 15 yds and post up like a 3D target right at 1830, took the one with the best presentation and double lunged her. They walked right past the feeder and went to the corn with out any hesitation.
I am definitely going to be trying that again to try to get some of the bucks to come in a little closer.
Do y'all use regular vanilla extract straight or diluted? If diluted, what is the ratio you use? Do you mix it with your corn or just spray it on after you throw it out?
