I believe this is the first time I ever heard someone say a slick trick didn't do the job

HA, arrows out of today's bows don't "bounce" off a deer. I can guarantee you 100% that it was not the broadhead! Furthermore, I can guarantee 110% that it wasn't the chisel tip!

It could have had something to do with shot placement, arrow flight, animal movement or all of the above. However, the broadhead can not be blamed in a scenario like this.

Did it hit bone and bounce out or bounce off of the skin?

I would not think a ST would "bounce off" but anything is possible.

I think like others that something affected arrow flight and caused it.

Not sure at 40yds that a COC would penetrate a shoulder bone

My theory is if it will kill a pig it will work on most anything

Yes I shoot STs but I also had a Grim Reaper and a Meat seeker in the quiver this weekend

Shoot what YOU have confidence in, it makes a difference

Man look at all this logic coming to defend the slick trick, but if this was a rage the pitch forks and torches would have already came out.

Not a broadhead issue... no matter what brand it was.
