Need to rethink morning feeder time

Friday night when I checked my feeder it said 6:30 am, figured that was ok. It just went off and it's pitch black!!! I don't have my **** together this year so far

I have mine set to go off at 715. Used to be earlier but I couldn't see squat when animals were there.

I'm changing mine from 645 to 715 after I get down this morning too! That way it'll still be ok for next weekend

I like the 715am call. I've got nice bucks on camera at night and spikes during the day...sometimes I wonder if the camera sets me up for high expectations. Gone are the days of my youth when I climbed in the blind not ever knowing what was coming to my feeder... Just pure excitement about the unknown

Not unless you change the time on your feeder.

This always makes me chuckle a bit.

I like my feeders set for 20 minutes before actual sunrise time and about an hour before actual sunset time. I change my feed times nearly every time I fill the feeders.

Last year I started out setting it to go off about 30 minutes before shooting light. The deer would come in and clean it up while it was dark. The next week, I moved it up 5 minutes. Then another 5 minutes, and so on. By opening day, it was going off juuuuuuust at shooting time. Bangflop.

Same here. Mine is set for 7:10am and 6:45pm to start the season but I change them almost every 2-3 weeks. I also chuckle at the daylight saving time comments. Never change mine for DLST.
