Can anybody tell me what that string is coming off my string? My guess would be its to help serve the peep sight in? Can you serve a peep sight in without pressing the bow? Thanks!

Is it a new string?
Looks like the string indicator they put in at the factory to provide center of the string. -
That is to seperate the red strands from the black strands in your string. I would reccomend pressing the bow to install a peeps to prevent damaging it.Comment

Yep, to help you get the center of the strands when installing a peep. You "might" be able to spread the strands enough to get a peep in there but I really don't recommend it. If your close to me I can help you but I am way out here in WT.Originally posted by BmacBmac1 View PostComment

Yup brand new string. Never been fired, no peep installed. I just put my first d loop on today. Hopefully it holds lol. I want to serve in my peep myself but I don't own a bow press.Comment

You arent trying to hunt with it now are you? It is to seperate the strings while bow tech presses the bow and ties in a peep sight.Comment

U can also use it to set ur peep height. Draw bow back an have someone slide string whew u want ur peep to be.Comment
