Where to Practice in SA?

Been to a couple of the archery shops that have ranges here in San Antonio that let you shoot for a small fee, but are limited to ~ 20 yds. Anyone know a public place that has a archery range for 30+ yds? Any of the City parks have archery ranges?

Not that I've ever heard of. I don't think you can bring your bow into a city park.

I think Viking archery out by Canyon Lake has a 30 yd range inside and 80 outside. I have 40 in my backyard.. come shoot.

I will have one up to 40 yards in about 2 weeks. I live very close to the Bow Shop.

I've gone to a school near by and shot out to 50yrds on the weekends. What part of town do you live in?

good thread...I'm a newbie here in S.A. as well and can't seem to find anything decent. I'm not far outside the loop (1604) on the northwest side of town.

I'm actually less than a 1/4 mile outside 1604 and Culebra...(and no I don't live at the Wal-mart)

I've shot at Barkleys off I-10. They have an indoor range that I think is up to 40 yards. I shot for free because I had my bow tuned. I guess they may charge if you "just" want to shoot.

I live near Potranco and 1604. Yes...I live at the H.E.B. lol

There's a big field at Potranco and 151 behind the old Albersons. Good for out to 300yrds and flat as can be. Sometimes the Model airplane guys take it over. Luna Middle school is outside of Potranco going to the Bullethole. Those would be good places to shoot.
