    OT: Gutters

One nagging problem keeps popping into my head in between daydreaming about opening weekend. Moved into a house in August with a HUGE pine tree right off my front porch. I cleaned the gutters and am pretty sure the previous owners never touched them in the 2 years they were there. It was a nearly solid mass of decomposing pine needles - new needles at the top transitioning to near mud at the bottom.

Anyway, any recommendation for DIY leaf guard products? Not sure what to buy and don't want to waste money and time.

It's tricky but both HD, Lowes or most hardware stores have what you need instead of you fighting to get it right the first time.

Best thing to do is get rid of the gutters.

Its just like anything else they just need to be maitance from time to time. There's nothing that will stop those pine needles. You can put a leaf screen on it and it will help but with time those pine needles will find there way in the gutters.

X2. My dad has said since I was a wee lil fella,"boy, if you want something to do, get a house with gutters and a board fence. "
