    Need Video Editing Advice

I have been having a little fun with the video camera recently. Well, I have a friend who is great at editing. He has done the work on my last couple of videos. Problem now is, he has moved away and has little time to help with them.

I want to try this on my own. What program/software are y'all using to edit from an HD camera using an SD card. I wanna add music, slow motion and etc...

    Any recommendations?

        Pinnacle Studio 17.

A powerful program at a good price.

You can pick it up at Best Buy.

Seems there's an updated Pinnacle called 17.5 Plus and 17.5 Ultimate. May be over my head. Lol!

                Anyone else?

                I do have Windows.

Sony Vegas Movie Studio is a good one FNDO. Lots and lots and lots of great an easy tutorials on its use found on youtube. Price is right. Lots of after affects as well plus third party stuff from NewBlueFX.

I upgraded to Vegas Pro this year from movie studio..

Pinnacle is what I use...it's got some advanced features but is not difficult to learn the basics of clicking and dragging clips and such.

Tried Pinnacle but always had problems with it crashing. I use Corel Video Studio Pro X6 now and love it. Easy to use and has pretty much everything you need

For the price I dont think you can beat Cyberlink Power Director 12. Tons of how to videos on youtube and is ranked high with a lot of websites.

Here is a link to there website so you can see features but you can find it cheaper on amazon. looks like they might be coming out with 13 soon.

For the Windows guys who don't want to spend a lot of (or any) money, Windows Movie Maker is actually good enough for 90% of the folks out there making their own videos. Plus it comes with the OS. Cannot beat it for the money.
