Maybe this drought relief isn't all it's cracked up to be!

Doing some chores around the place this afternoon and found a fire ant mound, I know to most of you that's an everyday ongoing thing but out here, that just ain't right. So while you boys and girls are packing up and headed to the lease, I'll be doing some research and trying to head these suckers off at the pass.

They have made it to Bandera. They are being driven out of SE Texas by the crazy ants.

Just came back in from killing several NEW mounds out. For those within range of a water hose I'm using Andro pre-mixed liquid. Just spray it on the mound for 10-15 seconds and they are DRT. Says it will treat 40 mounds and spray for 30 seconds. I cut that time in half and for several days now been using and no more ants...queen and all. About $10 cost.

Thanks to the EPA the ants will win.I know that's not what you want to hear. Unless they bring back the GOOD STUFF your are fighting a losing battle.
They have taken over down here. Years ago..
