    I can't believe I'm doing this...

I've been shooting an '07 Drennalin for the last year. I love the way it feels but I just haven't liked how it's been shooting and my confidence was waning. After about 10 shots tonight I said to Hell with it and got out my old '93 Matthews 3D Vapor and started stacking arrows. It's more accurate, faster, and just as quiet. I'll be totin' a 21 year old bow Saturday.

I have an old pse diamondback my dad got me for a graduation present back in 02. Thinking about leaving the Helim at the house one weekend and making it happen with the old school just to do it. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Have you had that Drenalin tuned lately?

I'll be taking my 1993 PSE Marauder with me as a back up in case something happens to my recurve. I have not shot it in a few years. Been collecting dust in the garage.
I shot it a couple nights ago and in about 20 shots and a little adjustment I was touching arrows at 25 yds. I think I'll shoot something with it this year just for old time sake.

Fast and quiet are WAY over rated because this thing ain't quiet but it killed everything I ever pointed it at

Sounds to me like you're stuck in a Mathews rut.

Maybe time to try something different?

Confidence is everything. I am still shooting a 2009 bow, I am confident with it. Sure, new bows are sexy and fun to shoot, but I know for sure that this one works perfect for me. I spent many hours tuning it, and it feels good in my hand.

Confidence is what matters at the time of the shot...

I know you're half (if that's possible) being a smart arse but I think I have a couple of issues. I need a new string set and I have rest issues. I'm thinking about calling Jeff and just having him take it to CC and work it over. If I get it dialed in, I'll probably give it to my son and get him started, then buy myself a new bow. I haven't purchased a brand new bow in 20 years.

Nothing wrong with the old bows. . .I still shoot my 2006 PSE X Force, love it and will proudly be toting it into the woods Saturday morning.

Lol.. I was actually 100% serious. I found when I was having issues with my Drenalin out of the blue one year it had fallen out of tune. Got it tuned and it was back to tack driving.

I'll be getting on this pretty quick. I'm sure it's a couple of minor issues that, put together, have created chaos 2 days before the season opener. I just don't have time before Saturday!
