Does anyone on the GS know of or have any experience a good traffic ticket lawyer in the Amarillo area? If you do would you let me know. Thanks

if you get a ticket and hold a cdl, you are pretty much guilty. we can't take a defensive driving course for it. but it depends on the violation that you are cited for, if the judge will fine you. there was some dps that were citing truckers for running oversized loads on wet roads and the judge threw it out of court. but if you get a speeding ticket just be ready to pay up.

My lawyer charged me $350 to get a speeding ticket reduced , it was in my personal truck and was 11 mph over in a speed trap. I still had to pay 100 to the ticket but its not on my record

I don't know anyone in Amarillo; however, it is my understanding if you have a CDL it doesn't matter if you are driving a big rig or a tricycle--no DD available. Generally they won't do a deferral either (at least thats how it was moons ago).

I had a class C cdl and got speeding tickets in my truck. I have taken defensive driving twice to deal with them. The last was about 5 years ago.

Yep, sorry, doesn't matter what vehicle your in....a cdl license is ticket with no defensive driving out or anything.
