    Direct tv help??

Had an old school tv at the camp and momma got me a flatscreen for my birthday but I can't get it to work with the box. I went and bought a hdmi cable and still nothing? Do I need to get a digital cable box too? I keep scanning for channels and its coming up nothing! I would call the folks that installed it but I can't remember their name. Place in Emory. Any suggestions. I'm lost on electronics past a fish finder!!

          Here is another tip.

If you are paying for full 1080p HD and your TV is capable of it don't use a cheap HDMI cable! The cheap cables can actually lower the picture quality significantly coming from your box. The reason is that they are poorly shielded and have higher resistance. This results in errors and decreased performance.

The difference between a good HDMI cable and a cheap crappy one can be a real eye opener.

Monster makes good ones. They are worth it!
