Considering new grip for my Mathews Outback

I was thumbing through Bowhunter magazine today and noticed a new grip, The Death Grip (http://www.vanhandle.net/). My outback grip is really fat and everything I've read says a thinner grip reduces bow torque. i shoot OK, but it's fun to upgrade/change/spend money on my bow! Anyway, I was considering the Death Grip or maybe some other thinner grip and intertested in folks who may have changed out their grip, what grip you installed and how it's worked out.

I love my Shrewd grip. First thing I did when I purchased my Drenalin LD was replace the string and put on a Shrewd.

On the recommendation of somebody around here I bought a Hicks grip for my Mathews. I like it and it was quite a bit cheaper than most of the others.

Thanks guys. I didn't see the Outback listed from either the Hicks or Shrewd or Loesch sites so I sent emails. Did it help you reduce torque? I find that when I travel to a new place to hunt that the excitement and stress cause me to torque until I settle down a bit. Also, when I shoot at odd angles and positions I can torque. I am hopeful that a new grip might add some confidence and reduce the temporary torque.

That's the big advantage in my opinion - let's me shoot with a more open grip and relaxed fingers. The less contact with youre palm the better

I've had the same Hicks on my last 5 bows with one being an Outback. When I got my XT I had a custom grip made for it and it looked awesome. I soon broke it off and put the ole Hicks back on, I won't make that mistake again.

                I shoot the low wrist.

I just happened to finish the torqueless grip for my outback today. I chose to make mine out of mesquite. Turned out pretty good for a first time job. Just need to complete the finish on it. If you like what you see send me a PM. we might be able to work out a deal.

I have a low wrist torqueless on my Mathews. Even though I have big hands I never liked the stock grip...it just didn't feel like it had a "locked" position and didn't naturally go to the exact same position in my hand. The torqueless is 100% repeatable and just drops right into the "pocket" in the same place every time I pick up my bow.
