Just got my 2014 3G covert. Got it set up and it's working. Hanging it up tomorrow. My question is, I have rechargeable batteries in it now and have flipped the switch, I put them in(4) and battery level is not 100%, so if I pull them out and put on charger will I lose the programming I have done? Is there an internal battery to backup programming? I am hooking the camera to a solar/6v battery tomorrow.

No just turn it off then remove as will all your info is saved on SD card just don't replace that
