How are the doves looking with the weather?

White wing opener the mourning doves were super thick with easy limits had season been open.

I've been seeing a few good flocks SW of Alice. There is usually good numbers if your around fields. I keep seeing more mourning doves in the early season.
There has been fair bit of rain, so if your hunting a watering hole this might slow it down for you.

I'll be just south of 44 west hunting corn field that's been combined already.

Opener here in Fort Bend County is a complete wash out. Been excited for weeks only to have the "annual" tropical storm / rains wash the excitement and giddiness away. I guess (not really) the positive is I get to work today...

I drove from Yokam to Pearsall yesterday afternoon and did not see the amount of birds I thought I would.

I dodged rain all the way down.

Heading to Bracketville this afternoon, doves were thick 2 weeks ago. Hope all the rain did not push them out.

My brother did pretty good in OG this morning. They had two man limit by 9ish. Im headed that way for the weekend.
