    Help with bow extrange sound

    Hi brothers,

Just a question, perhaps somebody had the same experience...

When I come to full draw of my Hoyt´s I hear a really soft kinda ´´tic´´ sound in some undefined part on the upper limb.

Don´t know for sure where that sound is coming from... hope you guys can help me

Thank´s in advance for your replies....

I think I can help! Had the same issue with my brand new Hoyt Charger!

I kept hearing that clicking noise you're mentioning and I took it to my bow shop. The Hoyt guy there who usually only works on the Hoyts said it's a common problem with some of the bows. The noise is generated from the friction between the limb and the riser. He made it a simple fix: took the bow apart and put wax where it was rubbing.

It ended up doing it again but after another dose of wax it hasn't done it again and I've been shooting it aggressively 3-4 times a week since (a couple months ago).

Your issue could be something else but you may want to at least take it in to be checked. The deer can hear it!

        Thank´s brother!

I´m going to check this, like I said I just can´t determine the sound´s source and I was thinking about lack of lube or wax in some place, with your answer now I know what to check first.

Yep you´re right, it can be a li´l sound but I bet deer will hear that.

Again than you so much for your help

        Good hunting bro!

Lube the limbs down in the limb pocket. Hoyt's are notorious for this.

Someone else complained about this same problem in another thread and said they solved it by loosening the lockdown screws and then while he was at full draw a friend tightened the lockdown screws. I remember him saying that it had already been a while since he had done that and the "click" had not come back.

                Clayg08:

Yep I think both cams have pegs (it´s a Rampage model) I noticed that the sound comes while I´m pulling for a full draw (about half the move) not when it reaches the cam stop but if you know issues about these pegs please let me know
