Incredible how it just will not rain around here. The river is just about done flowing in Sisterdale.

i hunt in Sisterdale. went down last weekend to fill feeders and it looks like a desert. I tested the feeders and drove off and had deer coming to eat midday as I drove up. feeding for 12 seconds morning and afternoon and they are cleaning it up in a matter of 10 minutes

Running 3-day total so far here is 5.5"s

The slough behind my house is over its banks and rising. Our home is safe, but all the oak I split is about to float downstream.

It's bad-real bad. However as I type there are storm clouds finally a brewing overhead. We need more than an inch or two though.

I don't know how much but yes it has rained a bunch. Rained a bunch up on the prairie. It's going to scatter those birds.

                            000.000 in Del Rio
We got some last week, but nada from this round. It's still pretty dry along the river from Amistad to Eagle Pass. Heard that because of all the rain up north of us in the Midland/Odessa area, they may have to open the gates on Amistad for fear of too much water too quickly. When I was there Labor Day, the lake was almost 70 feet low!! I cannot imagine enough water coming down the Rio, Pecos, and Devils rivers fast enough to compensate for that much deficit! THAT'S a LOT of water!!
