R.I.P. Wade Butler

Wildlife Artist Wade Butler was called home to the Lord this morning. Wade was diagnosed with cancer back in May. He fought a hard fight. Wade was known for his works for DU and CCA. Please keep my wife and her family in your prayers.

so sad to hear. I met and spoke with him for a while at the San Antonio Rodeo last year. He seemed like a really nice man. We got to talking about bird dogs and i showed him a picture of my yellow lab with me while we were duck hunting. He stopped for a second and said i would like to paint that. I emailed it to him but dont know if it was ever painted, was pretty cool that he liked my picture enough to want to paint it.

Im glad i got to meet him and spend a few moments talking to him.
