Help....Bow draw weight

I have a 70Lb DXT. Since the bow was new it has been maxed out and it was at almost 73 lbs. I just had custom new strings put on the bow and now it won't go over 65 lbs.
What gives?

What strings? I'd say they're not in spec

My DXT did the same thing when I change to a new string & Cable. Check your Axle to Axle. My was almost 1/2" longer than spec

The control cable may need to be twisted, most bows will do that when new strings & cables are installed. I would recommend shooting 100 or so then tweak both string & cable, yes, you will have to re sight the bow. I hope these helps &, pls ask away.
