looks really unstable not to mention those small legs will probably sink into the soil

It appears to be fastened with flanges using wood screws. I think the legs are too tall and it will wobble and pull the screws loose and you'll take a tumble.

I really don't see the advantage to being off the ground unless you're just trying to avoid snakes.

Snakes and skunks. Plus I like to be off the ground just alittle.

The legs are not just on the 7/8 osb. There is a pallete under the osb. And the legs are bolted on not screwed on with wood screws. The OSB is just to hold the blind up, the pallete is for the support. I can walk around in it and stand on one end and it will not tip over.

So will 1' off the ground work better.

seems like it would work. i would add legs in the middle of the sides for added stability and so it wont sink

might put some plates on the bottom of legs to keep them from sinking.

I, too, don't see any advantage. If I'm getting off the ground, I'm getting OFF the ground. A foot or two has no advantage that I can see and maybe even make it harder to be quiet.

When the legs start sinking unevenly they will get sideways pressure, and might pull out of the wood, or just bend. I think you'd want them on rock or concrete, and some bracing would only help.
