    Bow blind window size????

About to finish up my blind build but not sure on window size. What have y'all found works best and why. Will have three shooting windows if that matters any.

Just built and elevated stand. Windows are 12x24 and work great.
    Stand is 8ft.

Are you going to use mesh? If so you can make them about as big as you want to. I don't use mesh so I make them smaller as to not let too much light in - no more than about 7" wide by 14" tall

I made my window frames using 3/4" steel tubing, and went with outside measurements of 24x9. They should work for ground level or on a 10' platform. No complaints, very pleased with them

I don't plan on using shoot through mesh but will be using windows that swing open with solar screen mesh. I'm thinking I want the smallest possible without losing functionality.

What I did is made my blinds complete, took them to the site and put them up. Set up the feeder, then cut the windows to best cover the feeder and shooting lanes. To keep the visible size of the window, I hang camo netting over the window on wires used like curtain rods. With 3 or 4 narrow pieces of the netting I can adjust the visible window width. when I'm hunting alone, I video and shoot out of the same window so I only have one visible window open. when I'm hunting with someone in the blind, i open one for the shooter to shoot out of and adjust the width to minimum width that the shooter is comfortable with. I video out of the other one but have the netting that pretty much covers the window so it does not appear from the outside that it is open.

I bet most of ours are 6x6 or 8x8. And they are only that big because my paying hunters don't like my small holes. 99 % of hunters seem to make them too big in my opinion. Smaller is better.

Mine are 12X24. Seems to work pretty good.

8" x 16" deer view windows in mine. They seem huge when you are sitting in blind. I use three windows in front panels of hexagon ground blind.

                        I ran 12x48s. I dig it.
