I shot slick tricks for two years, and of all broad heads I have ever shot they left the WORST blood trails, its not just about sharpness, cutting diameter is the bigger factor and tricks don't have it.

I also went to Slick Trick a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, I've only killed one deer with them. Left a great blood trail which is what I wanted because I had the same experience with Montec's.

That pretty much sums it up for me the one year I used them.

Im a rage guy but shot and shoot these when fixed is required . . . . . . as a fixed four blade I don't think there is one made better.

Every one i've ever see is brutally sharp and the blade angle is brutal. I love the sound that head makes when it hits sound like you punched em

Could not agree with you more. When fixed is required, Grizz Tricks are awesome. Every other time, I shoot Rage. Don't have a single bad thing to say about either one.

For everyone who says the blood trails are bad, how do they compare to Montecs?

My issue is that the new lease i have is some of the roughest country i have ever hunted, Canyons, draws and grass over my head.
I have killed a pile of animals with Montecs but luckily i had short tracking jobs so the blood trails really wasn't an issue. But now if they make it into one of these canyons or into the Buffalo grass I'm gonna need a trail to follow.

Hope i chose well, and the land owner will not allow Mechanicals of any kind.

Don't worry about it. I am a firm believer in these heads. I have killed more animals with these then I can count. You put it in the right spot with these heads and you can go get the truck. You made a GOOD decision on going with these.
