    Guest in my pop-up

Pop-up has been out for a while now and the past two times I have checked/filled feeders there has been what I call a 'nest' in the bottom of the pop-up. Whatever it is digs under the bottom of the pop-up and drags in stick/leave/grass. This last time out, I noticed it had brought in several muscadines. I have cleaned it out both times back down to bare dirt/sand. My biggest fear is a skunk in there on opening morning. I think I could handle most other critters. What do ya'll think it could be?

I plan on making one more trip before opening weekend just to clean it out/check it again.

Anything I can spray or put in there to keep critters out and not scare off the deer?

Can you throw a game cam in there to see what you're dealing with?

I am guessing mice, if a skunk, probably some lingering odor. In my pop-up, biggest issues were wasps and snakes, especially the wasps making a nest in the blind. Mice were a Nuisance but not a real problem

        Haha!

It may very well be a rat. I went to move one of my box blinds the other day and a rat had drug ALL kinds of stuff into it via a warp in the bottom of the door. When we winched the blind onto the trailer, the rat got caught up in floor framing and we rolled over him. Biggest rat I've ever seen! KAR!!

Probably won't help to much, but I always sit my pop ups on a piece of carpet

There is a definite animal smell. Nothing I can't handle or sit it. Probably a good cover scent!

Once the rats move in...it's just a matter of time until the snakes come to eat the rats.

Probably a big rat. Had the same thing happen last season. I'd tear up the nest and the next day it was back. Finally caught up with the dude.
