So the nephew said his aunt "fired two shots into the ground and refused to drop her weapon" before she was shot, but the officer said the aunt never fired her weapon. Anybody else confused by that?

Yeah, I read that too. First time I heard this. It's been on the news the whole time that she DID fire 2 times.
